Oracle 9i IDS 9.0.2 on SuSE 9 Pro

Has anyone been able to install Oracle 9i IDS 9.0.2 on SuSE 9 Pro? My install dies with the make error on linking ins_plsql.mk. Trying the Werner Puschitz fix to genclntsh does not fix the problem.
