the 9.2.0.5 will not be released fo x86-64. Next patchset for this
architecture is to be 9.2.0.6.
The planned date is september but the date can Yes to all - I run 8.1 9.0 9.2 10.1 all on the same server.
Hello!
Is there somebody in Suse responsible for this page?
Information is outdated for instance- "Because there is no final
version we there is nothing to be certified yet " about Oracle/AMD64.Malcolm Arnold wrote

one table containing more than 10 million rows was killing Oracle...I
just deleted 99% of it and it rocks now...
Thanks agaHello

The RAID controller appears to work just fine -- configuring it to deal
with the JBOD array at the other end of the cables is the issue. The
only software we 've been able to find is PC-based.
--Hi Bill
we are using a QLA2200 with SuSE 8.2 which worked out of the box.
We had to enable the async feature of Oracle to get full performance
with multiuser because there is only one hardware cMultipath is not always certified... for example you can have problems with
IBM storages and LVM.
Moreover if you use a qla kernel modules from a different vendor (not the
one supplied by suse in iWhat 's the problem with them?
We 've several machines with QLA23xx FC adapters connected to IBM Fastt and ESS via SAN switches and they work out of the box in SLES 8 SP3 and in RHAS 3 (except that Sorry to double-dip here but I figure either the amd64 or the oracle bunch
would be likely to deal with this. We have two systems using QLogic
QLA2200/66 Fiber Channel RAID controllers talking to >We 're considering Veritas VxFS or Sistina GSF. Any feedback on

OCFS V2 is still beta Sistina has no Oracle references and Veritas CFS
is not available on LinuxHi Chris
I had the same Problem and switched to SLES 8 which supports both.
The Problem is the glibc Once you have installed and recompiled 817 with glibc 2.1 I don 't know how this behaves ifOracle 817 & 920 on SuSE 7.3 Simultaneously
All I have run 817 on SuSE 7.3 and run 920 on SuSE 7.3 individually with no
problem but now I need to run them on the same server at the same
time...8Hi Miguel

depends on your queries and the amount of data I would think. Have you
optimized your sql ? Indexed the database thoroughly ? TunHallo

I am considering an IOMEGA Rev drive for my test server with SLES8 has
anybody used this successfully under Linux ? I am using tar to do backups
no fancy backup programs -)
Thanks
MarBe very careful when using ASYNC IO and any non-enterprise Linux. There is a serious and machine crashing bug in the kernel that appears when ASYNC IO is enabled with Oracle and non-patched standard vI think that you are completely in the wrong forum but here is Oracle 's
master link for Docs and 8i. If you have the choice you should really
use a linux platform. Suse 7.3 is a great option for 8i. Hello!!
I 'm installing this application and I 've got a problem in the
log file I have an error
ERROR oracle.sysman.util.jdk.HostNameResolution - UnknownHostHi all
I 'd like to install iAS on my laptop. I already have Oracle 9i installed
and upgraded (9.2.0.5) but when I try to install iAS it proceeds along
the installation and then just sits there On Wednesday 09 June 2004 06 00 Andrew V. Yavorsky wrote

i think so. I pulled this tidbit from another site (i forget where

Again... i did not try installing a databaseAlexandre Scarparo wrote

This is a known bug and is simply solved by using patch 3006854 which
you can get from Metalink. (And yes it tHello!
Problem was in kernel 2.6.3 from kernel.org.
I successefully created 2.5Gb SGA with 2.4 kernel from Mandrake....
