I use NTP on every system I run. To set the bios time you can use
hwclock there is a man page for it. What I would do is set up an NTP
client synchronize with it and the use hwclock toThough not necessarily a suse-oracle question many oracle applications
depend on consistent system times after reboots. We are seeing on SLES9
SP1 that after a reboot the system time goes back 7... i forget to write in SQLPLus!! Excuse me!!
How can i querry the operating system of the database server - as an

Checklist included and many improvements added (into both scripts and
documentation).I have successfully installed that stuff on SuSe 9.2
The only problem was with non-working buttons in Oracle installer
that was solved by switching off <numlock >.

Has anybody installed Oracle 9.2 on SuSe 9.2 with Kernel 2.6?
