Is it necessary to change any parameters in ORACLE 10GR2 running on SL9.3 if
I upgrade the server (CPU from 1 to 2 Memory from 1GB to 4GB)?

i cloned a running 10.1.0.5 database via "stealing " a disc-raid-set.
Startup went OK.
Changed couple of directory names which contained the hostname.
Changed entries in listener.ora.

Any date calculation is in days. I.e. you have to multiply your result by 24 and then by 60 to get the result in minutes.

Installing orarun included gcc libaio-devel etc.
Patch to 10.1.0.5 run without problems.
