What version of 11g you are installing?
So for only x86 version is out (http //www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/index.html) and It should be installed on x86 version of Hi Frank
Difficult to guess what went wrong in your previous attempt but I am
glad now you have successful install with SLES10 SP1.

actually Novell had control on this - we informed Novell about 11g plan
when it was time -
Novell was ok supporting only SLES10 - the decision has been made and at

Strange but Novell/SUSE has no control here. We love to see Oracle 11g supporting SLES9.
