Appears to be something new. As per metalink (Doc ID Note 414163.1) please make sure environment variable LD_ASSUME_KERNEL is not there (or unset).
Let us know If you find some work-around.Arun
On my SLES9 cluster the install/oui program is linked like this.

I 'm aware of this issue with CRS/bin/vipca and the metalink notes about
how to unset LD_ASSUME_KERNEL.
The problem I have is during the clusterware installation and the
runInstaller.

Hi Peter
I have answered this before please search for vipca or "10gR2 RAC install " on this list for detail.
Error is due to LD_ASSUME_KERNEL line in vipca and it needs to be commented out. Re-runFolks

I need to install Oracle DB and SLES10 on a box with Intel G33 chipset but

From "Frank Hagen " <frank.hagen@(protected)Ok.
1) SLES10 SP1 - when running Oracle data guard in SYNC mode lost log
synchronization message is 'async io error ' (on network I think). Never
happen with SLES9 or RHEL4.
2) SLES10 SP1 - if usTechnically you can install it onto x86_64 linux by creating 32-bit
oracle32 user (see
http //ftp.portera.com/Linux/Oracle-32-environment-on-Linux-x86_64.htm ).
But if you already have Oracle runnMay be - but I run DataGuard performance test between SLES10 and RHEL4 and
SLES10 always lost syncronization because of
async io with network. IT did not happened with SLES0 or RHEL4.
Other hassle Hi Arno
Yes x86 with x86 version -)
Yes Oracle should point this in bold letters.
Thanks
