While doing export/import the source JAVA CLASS (invalid classes in
source) did not get imported into TARGET. Is this expected behaviour hi all

I agree with everything Mark said. But to answer your question there is no
equivalent command because TEMP tablespaces are now untouchable by us mere
DBA mortals.

I have gathered some statistics on the RMAN performance problem
although it is difficult to catch it because it happens so quickly. The
main wait event seems to be async disk IO. I also ran sHi.
When I was installing Oracle 10g on Solaris 9 sparc I noted some kernel
tunning options are required before installation. I would like to know
what are the parameters that I need to setup We are considering switching from SQL-Backtrack to RMAN. Has anyone else switched from SQL-Backtrack or other backup software? If so what were your reasons for making the switch? What problems did youA useful link appeared today in the DBA Village newsletter.

I am using an 8.1.7 database as a gateway to do inserts from a 7.3.4
database to a 9.2 database. The reads are fast enough but inserts take
forever. Updates that should run in minutes are taking hoThe large pool size is set to 16777216.

I did that but I don 't see how it guides me to the size of the shared
pool. For example I ran it against a test db and got the following results
