A commonly held belief is that histograms are useless i.e. have no effect

...they just make a softer hard/soft parse? 20

You This sounds a lot like the Sybase Replication product.
Big surprise eh?
If it is it must operate via triggers which may put quite
a load on your system.

IIRC you are correct but someone on Metalink noticed a few things
missing from 9206 that are in #68 e.g. mod_plsql patch. This caused
some of the confusion.
I don 't have the link in But who wants to hang out with Fusilli-Jerry?

Hi guys!
Anyone have any success using the 9i File Mapping feature?
That is you used this tool to actually change the way your files were laid
out and improveAll it means that there is some other service running that depends on
oracle service.
The simplest way to find it is to go to ControlPanel/Service and try to
stop OracleService <SID >. It will shselect c.name u.name
from con$ c cdef$ cd user$ u 20
where c.con# 3D cd.con# and cd.enabled 3D 1 and c.owner# 3D u.user#
After some concern about a database running slower than desired anI 've noticed the same disparity and have also not found a later version.
