1) Gain access to Metalink.
2) Upgrade to 9.2 because 8i is no longer supported.

My coDEEDSD might just be looking for V$PARAMETER or just use "show
parameter event " if DEEDSD is looking for events at the session level I
would want to know more about why they are concerned about thUnless you are using opatch to look at the oraInventory you will not be
able to get information on patches applied without using the Oracle
installer like the one-off pacthes etc.
