We use Veritas NetBackup with RMAN. I 'm not sure if that is
possible to do this with BackupExec but the NBU Oracle agent
integrates RMAN very nicely with Veritas.
The advantages are weI am testing a new 10g RAC (2 node) system on HP-UX. I am testing how to diagnose locking issues. On node 1 I update a table. In
another session on node 1 I update the same table and this sessionDouble shutdown is ok - you get consistent datafiles to back up.

using sqlldr all day long. sqlldr uses direct load for speed. At the same
time we have a routine that deletes old records fromRecently started to rewrite slowly performing reports using some
analytic function stuff etc.

I have a 7bn row weekly partitioned IOT that adds hundreds of millions of rows each week. A five percent stats job estimate takes 20 hrs every weekend.
Given that I only insert to the latest parFolks
Need to get A0the difference records between 2 tables each of size 22GB
(each containing 32 Million rows). The temp tablespace is 30GB.
What would be the fastest/most efficient way?
AIn the shop I work Standard Edition is the rule for
most of our database. It 's worked well for the most
part but there are times where we 've had to go to
Enterprise which I didn 't complain about.
