Hello.
I 'm running RMAN backups on my primary and standby sites. After
recreating the standby and cycling through about 20 log switches I
backed it up (backup database plus archivelog). But Well recovery after resetlogs is a complex issue. For one DBID changes
after resetlogs and you end up with a different database. It would require
playing around with set dbid .....

that the host environmental variable is not set before you

Check if there is a directory with <host name >_ <db Ram
The Oracle manuals will give you an idea on the database sizing. It is
different for each customer. Some will add GIG 's of data each year and
others won 't. I would suggest that you read ans uHello gurus!

The boss wonders if one can come up to speed pretty quickly or if we need
to have an outside person comFirst the Linux downloads of EM 10g were NOT gzipped despite them having
".gz " extensions. The big clue is that the downloaded size is larger than
specified on the webpage.

One thing that will cause this error in a RAC
environment is if one of the nodes does not have a

"Enable closed cursors " on the offending clients will help. I believe it 's

Don 't let b 'stard 's grind you down. This version is Exactly what are you trying to do? For having a daemon (or demon
for that matter) lurking in the darnkness of the central server and
resetting expired passwords the daemon needs to maintain a permpriority changes all the time - it depends on how much time it has already had on the cpu and on your priority table
