time for a walk perhaps.
Here 's a really bad query but one I need to figure out.
I want to query all columns in all tables in a schema for a string

Anyone know how to tell how long it will take to rollback? It 's possible it 's applying undo to construct a CR image of the blocks y

is the case. There will be a line that reads "ApI see Oracle has the Oracle 9iAS VoiceXML for converting XHTML to voice.

http //wwOne should also look at the blog entry earlier in the month as well.
Also for those who have not found it http //www.orablogs.com/orablogs/
is an excellent site which gleans material from manWarning!!! This is some ugly SQL. It works but I know there has to
be a more elegant (and efficient) method.
Free space used space and total space is tracked for all databases by

We are facing performance issues with 'payroll rollback process '. Top

and last week it caught max sessions exceeded because of some wayward code.

We have a similar situation. What we do is this
Create a "ocella_available " table in your local database that indicates
whether the remote database is available. Run a cron job everJust a general question guys.
Have any of you been forced to use "myconfigs and projects " before you are
able to raise a tar through metalink.

I have few confusions

user has finished with the work. Ideally once the user using temporary
tablespace finished the job sThe link says 'an error occurred while processing this directive '

I don 't think it 's a 9i issue at least not with 9.2.0.5.0 on HP/UX
11.11 using vxfs. I just tried this and the spool created fine up to
2154009964 bytes ( >2GB) before I killed it.
Make sureJust to follow up Oracle support said this is a know issue and will be
fixed in 10g. release 2. 20

I 've always felt that Oracle was a bit lazy in regards to stuff like this.
It always felt to me that they just didn 't want to have to validate security

DB 10g (10.1.0.3)
My delete returns an ORA-3113 when I execute this on my 10g databases
but it works fine on my 8.1.7 databases.
Here is my DML
Is anyone running 10g Standard Edition RAC in production? I have a client
who may migrate from 9i EE RAC to 10g SE RAC but are uneasy about it and
don 't want to be one of the first.
Thanks

From oOracle intermedia will do this for you (except its now called
OracleText in 10g). So the keywords would be Intermedia or OracleText.
There are or have been a slew of bugs with the feature and
cWe 're going through a new RAC install here and I 'm a little curious
about something. The documentation doesn 't seem to be a whole lot of
help from what I 've been able to find so I 'm hoping some Ummmm... Did you look the error up in the documentation?

Hi all
I 've been working on trying to improve performance of our
busiest tables by tuning freelists. The results are not earth-shattering
however and wondered if I could get some feedback
Do not use uniform sized LMTs for volatile tables since you may end up
having a table/index with thousand of extents..
More important don 't blame LMTs for it.. 20
If you use AUTO extent alloWith Vertas CVM (on HP-UX but other should be similar) you can resize
logical volumes online. We are with Veritas 3.5.
