-----Original Message--I have an Oracle Server Enterprise Edition with 8174 DB on HPUx 11.11.
It was installed with OHS (Oracle HTTP Server) but we have never used
this component. According to Oracle Critical Patch Update "9.2 needs more shared pool then 8.1.6. 256M is a bare minimum "
gogala how do you conclude that? We use several 9201 here with all
the shared pool 120M and Statspack didn 't say it 's busy. Well on!! Important !!

I 'm look for a good tool for design oracle databases.
I 'm aware of oracle designer but this tool is missing some options which

this is a known bug on Linux.
If you don 't use Context Server (or whatever it 's called) don 't worry about
it.
I don 't.
I didn 't try this in 10g yet but for 9i you have to set

On the standby set. This is archive log destination 10.
Give it a try

I just ran into another idiosyncrasy of oracle or maybe a long
misunderstanding on my part.
We have a read-only user that not surprisingly has only create

However we have a separate schema for each database - it 's easier to

Our problem is that we use a GUI-based third party tool for these guys
