Has anyone here heard of this?
First I 've seen it. Could not get the exploit to work on 8i or 9i
haven 't tried 10g.
It does however cause an ORA-3113.

For 9i there is a table comparing the two editions in this document

My guess is that the problem is that you have either numeric or value error.

If you MUST use java to go the other way I cannot help.
If you want to get from a disk file to a PL/SQL blob there is
no need for java - Very simple you have autorecovery set to on and oracle cannot find the
requested archive on ARCHIVE_LOG_DEST. You can either restore the file from
tape CD or DVD to the archive destination and reIndeed it did and you could even have seen me talk about how we did it in the "How Oracle Manages Your ASS " paper I did at RMOUG if you 'd bothered to attend! )

Has anyone installed Oracle OID in the same Oracle Home as the database
software and gotten OMS to "discover " the databases on that machine? This
is just a guess but I 'm thinking that some9iAS is a bitzch to get working properly. I would opt for the 10g
version and then hose the os to get it to be accepted by Oracle
installer. The kernel compal 's pdksh and others need to be updated/For monitoring does the process show up in v$session_longops (or similar correctly spelled view ().

it is important to do something that is
"likely to be the right thing NOW " ratheHow did the script work? You should be reading your email not

There are a couple reasons that you may want/need to use a global index.
If you have a unique index that does not have the partition key as the
leading column I believe you need to use a globaOn 02/26/2004 07 41 53 AM Hemant K Chitale wrote

The result from V$Object_Usage shows that start_monitoring date is not null and end_monitoring date is null.
This means that monitoring has been startedMark
