I get it now. Since you can 't create a non-prefixed global partitioned index (the part I didn 't think about) Oracle will only have to check one partition in the global index to enforce uniqueness in tOr alternatively use fdisk to create DOS partition. If your windows is installed
on disk C use fdisk C then delete the primary partition if it 's not a FAT partition
and create the new primarySince it is raw you have to use the lvm/fdisk/format command to know its
size. Detailed command name depend on your os and lvm type.
If you have added it as the dbfile simply query the

On the Ottawa Oracle User Group website under downloads there is a paper
which was presented in January 2003 called Programming with Advanced
Queueing. You can down load it from there. TI asked a question about hard parses on Friday. What I am trying to do is tell whether my variable inlist code is incurring a hard parse or not before moving forward. Here is the test I am doing.
1Is optimizer_mode inside pl/sql program will be always 'ALL_ROWS '
irrespective of what has been set in instance or session level?

This is not a forum for name calling criticism of articles orOthers have answered most of this I 'll add a summary...
1. You can tell whether timed_statistics was activated by checking your
raw trace data. If you see any non-zero value for a tim field it wIn that case maybe it was so fast that the CPU time was in the hundreds or even thousands of a second range.
