You may be missing a couple things.
As Jared has pointed out it is the the OTN development license that is
ineligible for support. The software is *identical* to that which comes off

could you insert this number directly into the table via SQL*Plus?

I agree with the other members who responded that probably it 's just a
case of SMON having to do a lot of work - and not using old-school
tablespace types. There is one other possibility perhaps TYou can query on v$session_event or v$system_event and find out which event is taking the most time and then try to reduce the time spent on that event.

arul kumaI recently set up Oracle Management Server on a server in order to
switch to the full 3-tier mode of Enterprise Manager after years of
using it in stand-alone mode. The version of Oracle we 're usingThere were two questions.
Can we leave the event in place?
If we set the tablespaces to read write will we be able to change them
back to read only?
Database is 8.1.6 on Solaris 5.8(Pretty sure).
Another thing to watch out for in this scenario is database triggers. (This
is a common situation in Oracle Forms shops where the default behavior of
forms is to update all of the selected database From what I can recall...
You must be using a character set that supports the currency symbol in

using something like

The supported ways basically amount to one of
