How/Why are you recreating the table twice again ?
What is the table for ? Is it your custom table ?

In LMT Oracle acquired a row cache enqueue on dc_tablespace_quotas after a
segment is built. this could even be a partition exchange or add. In DMT it
used to be worse where Oracle acquired
Yes with parallel_max_servers I have tried the START_REDEF with PARALLEL
4 on the
source and target tables. Doesn 't help enough. I still get
ORA-1555s/22924s in less than 7 minutes
when I expeYou can parse out the functions and procedure names in packages from
all_source. You will need to write some crafty SQL but it isn 't really that
hard.

I have a table with
a. a LOB segment
b. a very high rate of UPDATEs to the LOB (a BLOB !)
c. the LOB segment is in an LMT-AutoAllocate-ASSM Tablespace
d. the database is running AUM andJust some thoughts....
did you check for any async IO problems? is the async IO driver configured
properly? i usually wouldn 't dare ask these questions for a Tru64 box....it
works like a charm...
buTime to prepare a Form letter for such things in future. Just fill in
the blanks and fax it over.

Every undo is protected by redo.
Index can be created with NOLOGGING i.e the initial creation of index
data will not be logged but any reqursive SQL performed during
creation will be.

insert /*+ APPEND*/ into TABLE as select * from other_schema.SAME_TABLE
The table has a primary key and a few extra indexes. The goal isFor some real fun try using systimestamp and then doing some timezone
conversions so somthing like an update_date field is always displayed in
the users local time zone.
