I have not used MTS but in general you can only have one program
listening on a port on a given machine. If there are separate dispatcher
processes for each instance I would expect different-- Repost due to overquote.
I use Solaris + Oracle 10.2 in VMware Server. Both Solaris and Oracle

I recall some tests I did in the past and I think that adding a new column
to a large table with a default value utilizes significantly more redo than
adding the column with null running an update toRoger
The coalesce command combines leaf blocks within the same branch of the
index tree. Unless you know how fragmented the index is it could be
difficult to predict how much redo is generated.
Hi Paula
The gotcha if you don 't load with any indexes and constraints is that you need a lot of temp tablespace to build them but experience says that it will be a lot faster overall to apply constIf your interval is the string you provided I would expect
the next run date to be 9/5/2006 00 30.
Selecting the string from dual provides that date. If the job failed
then the scheduler will set Yes perhaps developers will actually use it now. I am sure on many an
occasion they did not look at the docs because it required registration.

Perhaps a perusal of the docs is in order?

Yes restore ... from autobackup will change if certain conditions are met.
RegSorry to beat this into the ground but the more I read the more questions I have.

Others have already suggested the rownum 1 (or rownum <2) trick if you 're
really just checking for existence.
