with DTrace data collected under Sun Solaris I discovered that the tim

significant percentage of the DB server 's CPU - up to 30%. I do not think
it is ever advisable to keep the DBC up and running all Boy do I feel ignorant when it comes to OCI. I am trying to get some timing
data out of oci to compare times at the oci layer to times spent at the
databae (10046) to times measured in our applicatioFolks
Does anyone know how Oracle computes value for the p3 parameter during
direct path reads? It seems that this is not directly governed by the
MRBC setting because in my raw trace file with MRBCHas anyone used SRDF instead of dataguard to manage a failover site? Anyone have any opinions of it?

KJC SEND COMPLETION TIMEOUTS is the wait event.
can some What is the path of least resistance to upgrade an existing 10.1.0.3

The dbua blows up and if it was not so close to being utterly pathetic the
result could end up as someDid you set the oracle user 's limits according to the docs ?
