I have run the following query
select name registrar
from v$archived_log
and got the result

E \ORACLE\ORA81\RDBMS\ARC00If there is anyone with a 9.2 and a 10.1 home on windows on list could you see if the 9.2 dbca runs successfully. I get the following
C \oracle\ora92\bin >c \oracle\ora92\bin\dbca

Thanks much Questions for you
Pt1) Does Oracle automatically kill the session after
a timeout period?
Pt2) What does your application do after the
'sticking ' followed by the Oracle timeout?

I m getting error ' ORA-03113 end-of-file on communication channel '
while creating a procedure which uses database link to populate data.
Can anyone tell me what can be the problem ?
Well no joy trying to install Oracle 9.2.0.1 on my laptop running Gentoo
Linux on a 2.6.4 kernel. Did I mention it 's an Athlon? The 9i Installer

Good day all
Here 's what we 've got
2 node Rac Cluster on Win2k with a single instance hot standby.
log_archive_dest_1 exists on the san shared by both instances Well clearly by asking this question I 'll identify myself as one on
the opposite end of the spectrum from the dump reading experts....
What is a PL/SQL dump? How do you take one? What does itRafiq
I upgraded 9.2.0.4 to 9.2.0.5 in AS2.1 with no problem. The installer
now checks the OS for the proper RPM 's and memory options before it does
the install. Did it pass those tests? If you n > Needless to say management is a bit concerned about major upgrades and > being able to downgrade. Obviously if a major problem is found early > enough restoring the cold backup from before the upgraGuys
Well my system admin. after assuring me that he would not in his upgrade blow away the database and could do this without affecting the database as I told him not to do it unless he was sure
Another possibility is that transactions
are queueing on simple row updates
on IOTs (i.e. something that would
give a mode 6 TX lock for heap table
gives a mode 4 on IOTs)

JonathaI have a DBA account that has operating system authentication. I originally set it to have a profile other than default but have since set it back to the default profile when I log in I get this andTUSC offers one too.

Hi All
Can we use parallelism when using the package FND_STATS in oracle apps.(RAC
instance)
(parallelism can be used when using DBMS_STATS package).
Thanks and Regards

----Hi
Check v$rollstat which has a column XACTS which shows numbers of
transactions using that perticular rollback segments.
Plus you can check v$transaction. It has a column XIDUSN. It shows whichArun
Remove the ADDRESS_LIST and just use multiple ADDRESSes in the
tnsnames.ora file. ADDRESS_LIST is generally used for CTF.
You didn 't tell me the version and patchset of the database. I asAS2.1 now has a newer version when you do a download of the CDROM. You
can download the AS2.1 upgrade 3 which has the latest versions and fixes
for AS2.1.

you can also change the name of DBSNMP i.e. it doesn 't need to be called
DBSNMP well you can create a new user and drop DBSNMP. If you do you
need to add a new line to the $ORACLE_HOME/netwoBoris Dali wrote

There are some 8.1.7 32 bit drivers that you have to install. I will look
around and see if I have the references. I had to get an 8.0.6.4 databases
back from backups so I could migrate it becauseImagine getting single sign on working only to have
it broken by an automatic update.
Suddenly without warning no one can get into all of
the web-based apps.
Glad to still be back on good old
