Hi !
You don't have to manipulate the kernel...you can change the
kernel behaviour with
echo 1 > disable_cap_mlock
(look for the file disable_cap_mlock in the /proc filesystem)
and...10g works well on 9.1 :-) (perhaps you also have to
set DISALBE_HUGETBLFS, mentioned in a earlier post as well).
