Hello,
My system is a SLES 8.0 SP3 with RAC 9.2.0.4 and OCFS 1.
My problem:
I have done an script (xxx.sh) to stop database, do some operations for
backup and restart database. This script it's scheduled by cron.
To stop oracle the script performs "rcoracle stop". To restart oracle it
performs "rcoracle start". "rcoracle stop" runs and exits correctly so
xxx.sh can continue with next operation, but when the script (xxx.sh)
executes "rcoracle start", rcoracle runs ok (database is up) but it
doesn't exit, the process stays waiting forever and the original script
(xxx.sh) can't continue with next operation. I can't understand this
situation. rcoracle it's untouched, no modifications.
If I run "rcoracle start" in the command line it exits and I get the
prompt. When the server it's rebooted, rcoracle (/etc/init.d/oracle,
actually) gets up database correctly.
Anyone has an idea about that?
