I never saw 'SLES' in Novell's bugzilla. Of course, I'd like to report. I
opened support ticket, _but_ they (suSe) explained that, because of Novell,
I cannot open tickets with SuSe, but need to open support request with
Novell (which is notintegrated with Yast), so I am not sure, if this ticket
was opened or not.
I saw simular behavior on iSCSI - raw disks on _total_ sdX behave badly,
while raw on 'sdX1' worked just fine. But I have impression, that Novell is
not interested in SuSe bug fixing -:) /impression only, of course/.
I will try to report it as 'SLES9 SP3 beta' bug.

That's interesting.
Have you reported it in bugzilla?
I'd like to see it solved.
It could be a great issue for several production system (included mine)!
