Anyone out there running the above on Sun X4200 ?

I'm getting terrible performance when importing my database, takes twice
as long as a PIII with a single ide drive running 9.3pro.....

The installs of OS and Oracle all went OK, db created pretty quickly but
the io seems really slow when running the import.

Disks are SAS ( LSI MPT fusion which uses module - mptscsi )

Currently the two drives are setup with hardware raid1, ext3 file system.

Thoughts anyone ?
