Short question.
Did anyone verified how database STOPS when system uses ASM (so it runs CSS
from inittab) and
you run system (*Linux) shutdown?
problem is that, if Linux kills CSS (which is part of inittab) BEFORE it
runs K* scripts, then database
will be ABORTED (because of ASM failure) instead of 'shutdown immediate'.
I do not know, how it all works - can we garantee that, if css is BEFORE rc
files in inittab, then it wil run when system runs K files (it runs K files
because it runs rc files for levcel 0 or level 6).
If it do not work, then it is one more very serious Oracle design flaw, and
we better remove CSS from inittab and run it thru additional script (ASM Lib
do not save us because it wil use the same 'inittab' approach).
