I have
set it up fine on 9 and 10 kits.
Couple of things to
check.
Have you tried using AES and DES schemes like
AES256, AES192 and/or 3DES168, I couldn't get RC4 to
work?
If 9i
is involved, make sure the ASO option is installed, I believe 10g gets it by
default now.
Try enabling SQL tracing on level 16
during your test connections, then scan the logs for "encryption" this should
show any errors or problems.

Subject: Oracle Advanced Security
Hi, All,
Has anybody used Oracle Advanced Security to encrypt all the network traffic between client and server?
I set up the following in sqlnet.ora both on the client and server, but
it didn't work:
sqlnet.encryption_server=required
sqlnet.encryption_client=required
sqlnet.encryption_types_client=(rc4_128)
sqlnet.encryption_types_server=(rc4_128)
sqlnet.crypto_seed=pqowieuryt;laksjdhfgmznxbcv,.s1
Also where to find documentation about how to set this up? I couldn't
find anything on otn ;-(
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
-Li
