Hello,

I'm trying to install 9i RAC on SLES9, SP3
and I'm stuck.

I follow instructions from
"Step-By-Step Installation of 9.2.0.5 RAC on Linux"
found on metalink and at least one step seem to be not
correct.

Chapter 3, installing RAC.

3.1: Install 9.2.0.4 RAC

"These steps only need to be performed on the node that you are
installing from (typically Node 1)."

Hm. I did install 9.2.0.4 RAC (option "software only"), but the software
have been installed on first node only.
I did mark both nodes for software installation, rcp and ssh works
(tests successful), no errors at all during installation were occured,
I saw "operation on node2 pending" in OUI window.
Everything was ok.

Earlier in docu mentioned dependencies
(upgrade of OUI, upgrade of oracm, etc.)
have been prior to 9.2.0.4 RAC installation solved too.

My configuration:
- 2 nodes,
- ocfs2 for shared data,
- $ORACLE_HOME on local ext3 partitions,
- quorum and srvm devices on raw partitions
(according to "Oracle9i RAC Setup and Configuration", chapter 2.2).

What did I do wrong ?
