Our customers are having Oracle 9.2 running on Suse AMD64 servers .
For SGA to take advantage of hugepage , we have been configuring "
vm.nr_hugepages" to accomodate the SGA .
Since at times our customers might be having multiple Oracle databases
running on same server,
   is there any negative impact of having "vm.nr_hugepages" to high value
.

For us setting a high huge page value will ensure that if a new database
gets configured in future the new SGA will also be using
  huge pages with out having to introduce any new changes .
