Won't this only be effective if his workarea_policy parameter is set to

9i defaults to using pga_aggregate_target if I am not mistaken.

Also, he can also install statspack, set it up to do periodic snapshots
and then generate reports off of that. He will get a great bulk of
information from that without needing to grok the various dynamic
views.

Statspack is a good thing to run in general.

Plus the reports themselves are very portable and easily shared.
