ext3 will run FSCK on all filesystems, in reality, becuase it have a
threshold _run FSCK if system did not checked more than XXX days_ - so (in
reality) we see fsck's all the time for ext3.

How do you handle system crashes on a > 500 GB filesystem ?
You do *not* want to perform an fsck on a large filesystem....
