Try,
cat /etc/SuSE-release

Mine shows,
SUSE LINUX 10.1 (X86-64)
VERSION = 10.1

I run Oracle 10.1.0.5 on my SuSE box without a problem at home. 10.2.0.1 and
10.2.0.2 are both available for download from the Oracle web site in both 32
bit and 64 bit versions.
