Well,
the NFS storage is a Netapp FAS 3020c. The system can serve
up to 120 MB/s (2 Gbit/s-Trunk). On Oracle via NFS on Linux i
can read/write with 80 MB/s within a single process (i.e. dd, create
datafiles, and so on).
Only* on Solaris we see not more than 35 MB/s when reading/writing
in a single process or thread. When adding a second process we can
speed up reading/writing, resulting in 80 MB/s when using 3
processes/threads.
