Hello again.
Well, I?m installing RAC 10.2 without ASMlib (really is only needed optionally
for database files, thanks guys). The installation goes ok until I have to run
as "root" the script root.sh from rac software home. I get this error just at
the end (I think) of the script:
....
Oracle CRS stack installed and running under init(1M)
Running vipca(silent) for configurating nodeapps
/opt/oracle/rac/jdk/jre//bin/java: error while loading shared libraries:
libpthread.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Note: /opt/oracle/rac is rac software home.
I've tried to run vipca manually as user root with same result.
Also I install SUN Java 1.4.2 from YAST and I try modifying vipca script
changing JREDIR to this jre, like sugests Rodolfo Baselli in http://hillrudy
.altervista.org/howto/10gR2SLES10/
The lib libthread.so.0 is installed and the virtual ip's are both in /etc/hosts
in each node. Is there any other trick on SLES 10 for this java error?
Remember: SLES10 x64 , VMWare 1.0.1 and RAC 10.2.0.1
