SLES 9 SP3 + Oracle 9.2.0.6 + SATA = data block corruption 2006-10-26 - By Radovan Bi

Back Hello, I'm getting a bit frustrated here. I'm building a test machine with INTEL D915PGNL motherboard. I'm getting consistently data block corruptions or occassional system freezes. Here is my fstab: /dev/sda2 / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1 /dev/sdb1 /u03 reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 2 /dev/sda1 swap swap priB 0 0 devpts /dev/pts devpts mode20,gid=5 0 0 proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0 sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0 /dev/dvdram /media/dvdram subfs fs?fss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0 /dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs fs=floppyfss,procuid,nodev,nosuid,sync 0 0
Database resides on /u03. Funny thing is that it happens only for 9.2.0.6 .I have 10.1.0.4 running on the same machine as an infrastructure for OAS and it works just fine. I would greatly appreciate any hints. Thank you, Radek -- Radovan Bi??i??t?? Provozn?? program??tor, Spr??va datov??ho centra STAPRO s. r. o.
