You need to have nfs-utils rpm installed, modify /etc/exports and start the
portmap and nfsserver service. See man exports(5).
(You could also use the YaST nfs server module, but exports is not that
complicated...)
A later modification of exports requires only a restart of the nfsserver
service.

You can also chapter 21.10 of the "SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9
Administration and Installation Guide" available from CD1 or from
http://www.novell.com/documentation/sles9/index.html
