Heterogeneous SAP environment

Heterogeneous SAP environment

Hello all,

We've setup 3 x86_64 and 3 x86 servers with SLES 9.3 as a part of our
SAP CRM environment. There are a few servers running HP-UX in this
environment as well. However, our SAP DBAs reported me the note 171356
on the SAP Knowledge Base, which basically says there are
discrepancies in the way the SAP on different flavors of UNIX (in this
case HPUX and Linux) treat the "sort sequence". I've looked for this
note id on Novell's Knowledge Base which points back to another set of
SAP NOTES. Our SAP DBA sent me the documents, and from what I could
read, it refers to a "ground up install" and yet it doesn't speak of
heterogeneous environments or the "sort sequence" problem we're
facing. Does anyone know a resolution for this problem? I also tried
to open up a call to ask Novell for this problem, but I can't seem to
find the "Support Key". If anyone could point me to where I can
retrieve that key on the Novell's Customer Center, I'd be thankful.

Thanks
