I agree, I would prefer the OS vendor handle OS fixes.
The point I was trying to make was that all of the RedHat specific
patches on metalink could mean one of two things:
1) RedHat has more bugs than SuSE.
and/or
2) Oracle and RedHat work together better than Oracle and SuSE.
I used to think #1 above was more accurate. But, I'm beginning to
suspect #2 is significant to. It is a shame really.
