[suse-oracle] shared servers and multiplexing

Hi,

from time to time we see heavy trashing of our main system.

Its not easy to debug the reason because at this time no
command will run, no top, no shell etc.

All we can see is very heavy xload for about 5 minutes.

Maybe a user went nuts and is insanely trashing his keyboard ;-)

As we have about 500 sessions (not users) we want to try
shared servers and multiplexing.

Is it enough to do the following?

alter system set
 dispatchers =  '(protocol = tcp)
      (dispatchers = 3)
      (pool=on)'

some other info says to set (multiplex=on)

alter system set
 shared_servers = 2
 max_shared_server = 20

kind regards,

Toni
