So, steps are:

download and install cygwin (with both openSSH and X11 packages) on your
Windows. if you have Linux, start from graphical screen.

When done, open VPN. For cygwin, run 'startx' and then use newrly opened
window (xterm). For Linux, just create a terminal window.

Then run

slogin -X oracle@(protected)

to login as Oracle

or
slogin -X root@(protected)

to login as root

When been root, you can change user to oracle by

sux - oracle

And then proceed with Oracle.

Hi All All,

I am trying to install Oracle 9i on Remote server ( Via VPN access) gives
me error that DISPLAY has not been set. I had installed X-Config on my PC
and set the DISPLAY correctly, still am getting the same error.

Any help would be appreciated highly....
