Harold,

Find the formsweb.cfg or appsweb.cfg for your application server. Look for the lines that specify 1.4.2_06 for the Sun Java Plug-in and replace it with 1.5.0_10. Then your forms applets will open in the native Sun Java Plug-in 1.5.0_10 used by OpenSuse 10.2.

Do an rpm -qa | grep java_1_5_0 to ensure you have java and the plugin installed. If you have 1.5.0_06, use online update to get to 1.5.0_10.

HI comunity ! Firefox V 2.0 with SuSE V 10.2

Now I fixed all problems to get forms starting
up, can create forms, etc.

But when running a form, firefox is starting
up, then I can see for a short time the text
"ORACLE FORMS".

Afterwards I receive a screen than "Additional
plugins are required to display all the media
on this page"

Unknown plugin: (application/x-java-applet;\
jpi-version=1.4.2_06). When showing th page
"about:plugins" I see that there is installed
(same text) with Version 1.5.0_08 (Enabled)

I do not think that this problem has anymore
to do with ORACLE. Therefore after your answer
I will switch to another list ?

My querstion:

-) Can it be a configuration at the side of DevSuite
-) Can it be a ENVIRONMENT lack (LD_LIBRARY_PATH)

under my ORACLE-Environment ?

I do not think so, I only think that this has to
do with my machine settings. Independent of ORACLE.

Thanks Harald
