Hi Frank,
Difficult to guess what went wrong in your previous attempt but I am
glad now you have successful install with SLES10 SP1.
Most of the time these symptoms occur If you don't have proper
glibc-32 (See http://ibc-32.ora-code.com)bit-* and glibc-devel-32 (See http://vel-32.ora-code.com)bit-* libraries installed on the system.
It's a guess.
